35th Annual King Kamehameha Hula Competition

Friday, June 20 at 6:00 p.m. & Saturday, June 21 at 1:00 p.m. 2008

Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena, Honolulu

This International competition features men and women in hula kahiko and hula auana.  It features male groups, female groups, combined groups, and includes individual chanters and kupuna wahine groups.  As many as 500 dancers representing dance schools from the mainland U.S., Japan, and Hawai'i participate and are accompanied by outstanding Hawaiian musical groups.

Any hälau interested in entering this competition, should mail or e mail the following information:  name of hälau, name of kumu hula, mailing address, fax & ph. numbers, e mail address, and a brief background and training of the kumu hula.
