Aloha Kakou & Welcome

The State Council on Hawaiian Heritage is a nonprofit educational organization
dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of the Hawaiian Culture.
We conduct seminars, classes, conferences, and workshops in various aspects of the culture including hula,
language, and history.

We produce the annual King Kamehameha Hula Competition, an international event, each June in Honolulu and the King Kamehameha Hula Competition in Japan.

We have also released 2 CDs, "NA KUMU HULA: Songs from the Source"  Volumes I & II featuring various Kumu Hula. Volume III is pending.

SCHH has made grants to school libraries, cultural exchange groups, community projects, and supports Lunalilo Home, a care facility for the Hawaiian elderly.

We consider funding projects relating to the Hawaiian Culture.
